Independence Drug is a self-pay pharmacy.
This means we don't contract with insurance companies or process prescription claims.
While that may seem like a strange idea to some, we've found we can often serve patients better by cutting insurance out of the picture, keeping our costs low, and passing on those savings to our customers.
Our pricing is simple and is based on the type of medication and days supply dispensed, as follows:
30 Days Supply: Cost plus $10
60 Days Supply: Cost plus $15
90 Days Supply: Cost plus $20
>90 Days Supply, Controlled, or Brand Drug: Cost plus $25
By taking advantage of this model, we can often beat the price of your insurance copays over the course of the year
EXAMPLE: LISINOPRIL 10 MG TABLETS
Cost for 30 tablets=$0.28
30-day Price: $10.28
60-day Price: $15.57
90-day Price: $20.85
1-year Price: $28.39
Let's say your copay with your insurance is $10/month.
That's $120/year with insurance vs $28.39 without, saving you $91.61 over the course of the year!
The more you get, the more you can save!
